A Note for Families
As pastors and staff, our calling is to equip you to make gospel-centered disciples for the glory of God—and that includes your kids! Christian parents confess that our children are not ultimately ours, they are the Lord’s and we are entrusted with the great privilege and responsibility to teach them to become maturing disciples of Jesus. This is good news because the Lord knows and loves our kids better than we do! So the aim of our life-stage ministries, both children’s and youth, is to come alongside you as parents to help your child grow to know and love Jesus in return. And if you don’t identify as a Christian, you can rest assured that your child will have a fun and safe time learning from and being loved by well-trained and background-checked teachers.

We offer Children's Programs at both 9AM & 11AM services on Sundays.
We love the little ones! We have a great team of dedicated “baby holders” and teachers trained for age-appropriate lessons. Most importantly, we hope that kids will love the church from the earliest age.
Our classes are taught by gifted and loving teachers who genuinely care for their students. We begin in the sanctuary for praise and worship. Children will then be dismissed for their classes.
We aim to include children with special needs into all children’s ministry classrooms as is developmentally appropriate, but we also have a class just for them with trained teachers.
Shining Light, a ministry of Valley Community Church that began in 1999, is a Christian, parent-cooperative preschool that provides a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment for children to explore and develop an excitement for learning. God treasures your children, and we treasure them too! For more information or to enroll your little one, click here.

Refuge is dedicated to teaching Middle School students the gospel of grace in a fun and engaging way, fostering a Christ-centered community of middle schoolers through small groups and outreach events. Our mission is to come alongside parents and the local church to make gospel-centered disciples for the glory of God by equipping our students to boldly follow Jesus in their upcoming High School years.
9:00AM – 10:15AM
Our middle school Sunday morning program is packed full of music, videos, drama, games, discussion and a message that offers God’s perspective on topics relevant to middle school students. Sunday mornings help students hear what God has to say to them and how they can apply it to their lives!
7:00PM – 8:30PM
Come to Refuge on Tuesdays. If you are in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade and want to grow in your faith, this is the place for you. The program begins with games, then students break into small groups where students actively discuss what God has to say to them and what they can do about it and then ends with worship. Tuesday Nights are for anyone who wants to share, learn, pray, and laugh together in a small group.
3:15PM – 4:30PM
Students who desire to further their leadership skills can join WIRED. These students make a commitment to take the next step in the discipleship process and focus on meeting the needs of others while learning how God has wired them to make an impact.

Anchored is a gathering of high school students who come together for a time of worship and community. Our mission is to come alongside parents and the local church to make gospel-centered disciples for the glory of God that boldly follow Jesus. Our prayer is that through both relationships with leaders and various programs, our students will develop a deepening relationship with Christ and be equipped to be the next generation of Christian leaders in adulthood.
11:00AM – 12:30PM
Second hour in the Hall is dedicated to High School students. Come to Anchored Sunday mornings for fellowship, worship, interactive discussion, and teaching from God’s Word.
7:00PM – 9:00PM
Wednesdays are nights where everyone is welcome to come & see what this “God thing” is all about. Each Wednesday night we have announcements, games, snacks & connecting time. Then we head off to our small group where we tackle a topic that’s relevant to high school students. The small groups are designed to give the students the opportunity to investigate their faith, ask questions, discuss relevant issues with an adult leader & peers, and pray for one another. We finish the night with worship. Wednesday Nights are a great place to help you and/or your friends begin a relationship with God.
